Note: A CareCredit icon displayed in color in the upper-right of the Patient window indicates that the patient is a CareCredit customer; an icon displayed in B&W  indicates that the patient is not a CareCredit customer.

 

The commands available from the Options section of the Express bar or the Options menu when using Enhanced Workspace are:

  • Transactions: Views the patient transaction history.
  • Eligibility: Checks the patient on-line insurance eligibility information. This command is only enabled if you use eVerifications insurance eligibility.
  • CareCredit Integration: Access the CareCredit integration to perform account lookups, complete online applications, and use a payment calculator.
  • eReminders Settings: Displays the permitted reminder delivery methods for the patient. This command is enabled only if you have enrolled in eReminders.
  • Appointments: Views scheduled patient appointments; schedules patient or family appointments.
  • Treatment Plan: Sets up and prints treatment plan procedures, accepts or declines treatment; and submits transactions for pre-authorization.
  • Appt Book > Patient's Recall: Views the patient's next recall appointment.
  • Appt Book > Patient's Next Appt: Views the patient's next appointment.
  • Appt Book > Today: Views the current date in the Daily Appointments window.
  • Portrait > Show Portrait: Select this command to view the portrait associated with the patient.
  • Portrait > Create Portrait: Adds a patient portrait.
  • Documents: Views existing or captures new documents to attach to the patient's record.
  • eForms > Review eForms: Displays completed eForms for the selected patient. This option is enabled only if you purchased eForms.
  • eForms > Patient Settings: Enables or disables eForms delivery for the patient or responsible party. This option is enabled only if you purchased eForms.
  • Clinical Management > Patient Medical History: Views patient medical history for the selected appointment.
  • Clinical Management > Update Med Alert Date: Updates the Alert Updated On field on the Info tab of the Patient window with the current date.
  • Clinical Management > Chart: Views the patient chart.
  • Clinical Management > View Clinical Notes: Views, adds, edits, and deletes patient clinical notes.
  • Clinical Management > View Lab Cases: Views, edits, and deletes patient lab cases.
  • Clinical Management > Prescription History: Views patient prescriptions.
  • Clinical Management > Outgoing Referring History: Views patient referral history; refers patient to another doctor.
  • Clinical Management > Missing Teeth: Views missing teeth and annotates additional missing teeth.
  • Show Images: Displays patient images at the bottom of the window.
  • Dental Imaging: Enabled if you have purchased the dental imaging software.
  • MedVisor: Starts the MedVisor software. This command is enabled only if you have installed the MedVisor software.
  • Other Management > Other Patients Referred: Views a list of patients referred by the selected patient; adds, edits, and deletes referred patient information.
  • Other Management > Missed/Broken/Late Appointments: Views missed, broken, or late patient appointments.
  • Other Management > View Tickler Entries: Views patient tickler entries; adds, edits, and deletes entries.
  • Other Management > View Completed Claims: Views patient completed claims.
  • Other Management > View Account: Views patient account details.
  • Other Management > Patient Questionnaires: Views patient questionnaire results.
  • Other Management > TeamTalk: Adds, edits, and deletes patient TeamTalk notes.
  • Patient Info/Forms > Patient Information: Prints patient transactions or the appointments report.
  • Patient Info/Forms > Routing Slip: Views or prints a routing slip.
  • Patient Info/Forms > Account Walkout Statement: Prints an account walkout statement.
  • Patient Info/Forms > Patient Walkout Statement: Prints a patient walkout statement.
  • Patient Info/Forms > Print Appointments: Prints upcoming patient appointments.
  • Letters/Labels > Quick Letters > Welcome Letter: Prints or views a patient welcome letter.
  • Letters/Labels > Quick Letters > Thanks to Referring Patient: Views or prints a thank you letter for a patient who has referred a patient to your office.
  • Letters/Labels > Quick Letters > Thanks to Referring Doctor: Views or prints a thank you letter to a doctor who has referred a patient to your office.
  • Letters/Labels > Quick Letters > Complete Refer Work: Views or prints a letter informing a referring doctor that your office has completed the specified work.
  • Letters/Labels > Quick Letters > Referring Doctor Inquiry: Views or prints a letter to a doctor to whom you have referred a patient.
  • Letters/Labels > Quick Letters > Referral Intro Note: Views or prints an introductory letter to a doctor to whom you have referred the patient.
  • Letters/Labels > Quick Letters > Excused Absence Note: Views or prints patient excused absence letter.
  • Letters/Labels > Quick Letters > Insurance Inquiry: Views or prints patient insurance claim inquiry.
  • Letters/Labels > Quick Letters > New Patient Info Form: Views or prints the New Patient Information form.
  • Letters/Labels > Quick Letters > Update Patient Info Form: Views or prints the Current Patient Update form.
  • Letters/Labels > Quick Letters > Insurance Retreatment: Views or prints a patient Insurance Retreatment form.
  • Letters/Labels > Quick Letters > Medical History: Views or prints the Confidential Medical - Dental History form.
  • Letters/Labels > Quick Letters > Delinquency Notice: Views or prints a statement of delinquency for the patient.
  • Letters/Labels > Labels > Address Label: Prints a patient address label.
  • Letters/Labels > Labels > Folder Label: Prints a patient folder label.
  • Letters/Labels > Labels > Envelope: Prints a patient envelope label.
  • Move Patient: Moves the patient to an existing or a new account record.
  • Show Ins Company: Displays the Insurance Company window for the selected patient. If a patient has more than one insurance, a window is displayed, asking you to select the insurance information you want to view.
  • Guarantors: Views, adds, edits, and deletes patient guarantor and insurance information.
  • History: Creates a history file using your word processing software. A history file enables you to enter more extensive notes about the patient.
  • Contacts > By Date: Adds, edits, or deletes patient contact information.
  • Contacts > By Type: Adds, edits, or deletes patient contact information.
  • Budget Plan: Adds or edits Ortho budget plan information.
  • Credit Card Payment Plan: Displays the credit card payment plan window for the selected patient.
  • Software Links: Views, adds, and deletes links to other software programs.
  • HIPAA: Adds HIPAA specific patient contact information.
  • Auto Dialer: Views or dials patient phone numbers.
  • Letter Expert: Merges patient information with a letter expert template.
  • Display Options > Show Birthdate: Displays the Birth Date column. When this column is displayed, the User Codes column is hidden.
  • Display Options > Show User Codes: Displays the User Codes column in the Patient List window. When this column is displayed, the Birth Date column is hidden.
