How to Change a Staff Member's Timeclock Status

Issue:

Information about time clock statuses and how to use them.

 

Solution:

There are nine predefined status buttons at the top of the Timeclock window, Available, Business, Gone/Day, Out to Lunch, Personal, Sick, and Vacation. To change a staff member's status, click the desired staff member's name then click the desired Status button at the top of the window.

 

1. From the main menu of OrthoTrac software, click Functions, TimeClock.

2. Click the staff member from the list.

3. Click the status button. The status buttons will change the staff member's status to the correct option. The available options are:

 

Available: Clocks the staff member in. Either at the beginning of the day or when returning from another OUT status such as Out to Lunch or Business Errand.
Business Errand: Clocks the staff member out on a Business Errand.
Gone For the Day: Clocks the staff member out for the day.
Out to Lunch: Clocks the staff member out to lunch
Personal Errand: Clocks the staff member out on a personal errand.
Sick: Clocks the staff member out as sick.
Vacation: Clocks the staff member out on vacation. This status requires a return date.
Other In: Clocks the staff member in. This status can be used for any extra in status that you wish to use.
Other Out: Clocks the staff member out. This status can be used for any extra out status that you wish to use.
