WinOMS: Error Code 100 on all workstations when logging into CS WinOMS

This error is caused because a service is either not running, firewall is blocking access, or anti-virus software is blocking access.


Verify that the CS WinOMS server is powered on and logged into the local Windows account.

  1. Double click Sybase Central or SQL Central icon on the desktop
  2. Click Adaptive Server Anywhere 9
  3. Click Services tab
  4. Right click SQLMDS
  5. Click Start


Light should turn green and status will read Started


  1. Click File
  2. Click Exit
  3. Log into CS WinOMS


Also verify that anti-virus software has an exception for mdcs.exe and dbsrv9.exe.  If not. they will need to be added.
