WinOMS: NEAattachment.log Not Found When Trying to Update NEA Claim Status

The reason this error occurs is:

  • The workstation submitting the NEA Attachment is not the workstation on which the attachment was created.
  • Updated NEA Payer List needs to be imported

 

 

 

  1. Click Billing.
  2. Click NEA FastAttach.
  1. Click Payer List Processing.
  1. If a new Payer List is available, click Import.
  1. If a new Payer List is not available for download, delete the NEA attachment and re-create it.  
  1. Resubmit NEA Attachment.

Another possible solution:

  1. Click Billing.
  2. Click Insurance Processing.
  3. Click Create Electronic Claim Batch.
  4. Right-click claim which required NEA Attachment.
  5. Click Delete Claim Attachment.
  6. Browse to the following location:

 

If your workstation is a 32-bit Operating System: C:\Program Files\FastAttach\NEA\Log

 

If your workstation is a 64-bit Operating System: C:\Program Files (x86)\FastAttach\NEA\Log

         

7. Verify that NEAAttachment.log file exists.  If the file NEAAttachment.log does not exist, create a new one using Notepad.  

8. Right-click claim which requires NEA Attachment.
9. Click Create/Edit Claim Attachment.
10. Complete and transmit NEA Attachment
