Goal:

To remove or restore a transaction type on the daysheet.

Solution:

As of version 12 of OrthoTrac, you can remove transaction types from the daysheet. Removed transaction types can be restored later, if desired.

NOTE: Any changes to daysheet setup can only be done if the daysheet is empty. Close the daysheet for all locations and doctors before beginning any of these steps.

ADDITIONAL NOTE: This process should be done at the end of the day. The process will recalculate all previous transactions.

This process should be performed on the data server, not on a workstation. Our Cloud practices are the exception -- they can do this from any PC since they are all connecting to the application server.

Removing a Transaction Type

1. From the main menu of OrthoTrac, select Functions, Maintenance/Setup, Daysheet Setup.

NOTE: If you receive a message stating that the daysheet is not empty, close the daysheet for all locations and doctors and then start again at step 1.

2. Click the Rpt Setup tab.

3. Locate the transaction that you want to remove on the left side. Click once to highlight it.

4. Click the Remove button on the right side.

5. Read the message about removing the transaction and click OK to the Daysheet Setup window.

6. If the transaction type is used in any monitors, you will see another message telling you what monitors it is used in. Make a note of these because you will need to go to the Monitors Setup tab to remove the transaction from those monitors. Once you have made a note of the monitors, click OK to this window.

7. Click the Update button to recalculate totals and click Yes to the "Are you sure?" message. This process may take several minutes.

8. If the transaction type was used in any monitors, click the Monitors tab. Locate the daysheet monitors that used this transaction and remove it from the Selected Transactions column by double clicking it. Repeat for any other monitors that need the transaction removed.

9. Click the Update button to recalculate totals and click Yes to the "Are you sure?" message. This process may take several minutes.

10. Click the Close button to close Daysheet Setup.
