New procedure code appeared that didn't exist before

Orthotrac Cloud user here and I recall there was a recent upgrade. Nothing urgent, just reporting this in case other people are experiencing it.  My office manager was looking through existing procedure codes and saw a new one that didn't exist before (she had been working with procedure codes the last few weeks as we have been making an effort to optimize our schedule).

The code is:  W99 Assess and Debond Overseas Patient

We don't use a Letter+Number coding scheme, we use a 3 digit code. And while we've treated patients who have transferred to us from overseas before, to my recollection we've never needed that kind of code before.

Steps I've taken is to quiz staff members who have access to add procedure codes and none say they have added it.  I did a procedure code report and W99 has not been ever been recorded or scheduled for any patient.

So, what I'm afraid of is there is some kind of database error where this got entered in our database when it was meant for another office or otherwise a minor but weird occurrence indicative of a larger problem that may have happened during the upgrade last weekend.

I sense a collective shrug from the support personnel.

My office NOW has that code also. We did not ever have it before the upgrade also. - weird that someone would need it that specific or that they would think everyone would need it. I wonder if it has to do with filing for insurance?
