Screen layout and multiple open screens

Jump to solution

For many of the modules, multiple screens can be opened simultaneously (eg-patient ledger can be open as well as patient imaging simultaneously). One of the problems we've been having is that when we are entering a claim and need to fill out the remarks section, we cannot open another screen (specifically the patient chart notes) to reference the patient diagnosis which is necessary to include for the claim to be properly processed. What we have had to do was close out the claim being worked on, open the patient  chart, review the notes to determine the patient diagnosis, close the patient chart and then re-open the claim to complete it.

It seems that it should be fairly simple to allow both the claim screen and the patient chart to be opened at the same time as multiple screens are allowed for other circumstances.

Any thoughts? Recommendations? Chance that this can be corrected going forward?

Good day Dr. Leizer,

As you noted, there are several screens in Orthotrac that can be opened simultaneously with others, but the Insurance Claims screen is not one of those.  I believe this is a limitation of the control that is used to display the insurance claim layout; however, I know that it is definitely something that has been mentioned as a wantlisted item by several other clients, so it is likely to be implemented in a future version.
