Version 14: Two new articles about possible data loss in Charting

This post is to advise all readers that two new articles have been posted in the Documentation section.  Each article details a known issue in OrthoTrac version 14.x  which has the potential to cause data loss in Charting.  Please see each article for the full details.  Direct links to each article are provided below for your convenience:

OrthoTrac - v14.3 - Possible Data Loss in Charting When Clicking 'Save Note' Button in Notes Tab

and

OrthoTrac - v14 - Possible Data Loss in Charting - Next Appt Type & Procedures Aren't Deleted

Please note that the first of these two has been corrected in version 14.3.0.188.  The other defect is still slated for a fix in a future version.

As always, if you have any questions about either defect, please contact Support directly at Support.US@csdental.com   or via phone at 866-722-2567.

Re: Version 14: Two new articles about possible data loss in Charting

On the notes tab will we still be able to "paste" our treatment plan?  We use questionnaire to create the treatment plan from the new patient exam and then copy/paste into notes.  The treatment plan is usually several lines with bullets.  I'm concerned that if the new notes has fields it won't be able to do this.

Example:

Patient:  John Doe        DOB:  11/16/1993

Todays Date: May 06, 2019

Treatment:
⦁ Patient pre-meds for appts-Dr. Baker prescribes Azithromyocin
⦁ Full Braces 24 months
⦁ Had extractions of #5, #12, #21 & #28, per our request by Dr. Faircloth
⦁ Do not bond #10 at first
⦁ May utilize elastics

Retention:
⦁ Lower 3x3
⦁ Hawley upper
⦁ Retainers will be needed at night forever
Additional Exam Notes:
⦁ Patient's mother was at the new patient exam.
⦁ Patient was referred by their dentist
⦁ There is recession on the lower incisors- okay for now but could later need grafts.
⦁ Dr. Andrews reviewed Medical History

Main Concern:
⦁ Ready for full braces
Risks:
⦁ The jaw joint popping and clicking will continue and could increase

Re: Version 14: Two new articles about possible data loss in Charting

Good day Laurie ( @braceslc ),

No worries, the redesigned Notes tab will still allow you to copy and paste with no issues.  The "field" for entering notes is a large box covering half the available space onscreen.  Below is a screenshot:
