Version 15.1.3 release to the cloud date ??

Jump to solution

I see the information for the new version of Orthotrac and wondered if there is a planned date for it to be rolled out to the cloud environment.

OrthoTrac updates for Hosted customers are now underway and your practice will receive a notification of your scheduled update day/time soon.

I apologize for the delay -- normally we roll these updates out very quickly to all hosted customers.  However recent security upgrades has required us to apply this update incrementally, and that is affecting out roll-out timing. Thank you for your patience!

Would the new update have the fix to the problem of pulling in banding dates on the insurance claims? (Box 41) We often use two phases of treatment, and a previously entered claim with the phase I date pulls in the phase II date.  This has been a problem for a long time that I am eager to see resolved. Thx.

Good day Paula ( @paularyfa ),

There were three defects related to Start Dates / Appliance Placed dates introduced in v14:

1.  The Appliance Placed date in insurance claims (Box 41) would read from the Start Date on the Contract screen, which was (at the time) independent of the Start Dates in the Phase I or Full Treatment sections of the patient main information screen.  This defect has been corrected as of version 15.0;  the Appliance Placed (box 41) in insurance claims now reads its information from the Start Dates on the patient info screen. If there is a phase I start date and NO Full Treatment start date there, then it will read from that box.  If there is a Full Treatment start date then it will read from that box.

2.  Changing the Start Date on the Contract screen would not update the info on the Start Date sections of the patient main information screen.  This was thought to be corrected in v15.0 but in testing I have just found that it is only *partially* fixed -- updating the Start Date on the Contract screen will update the Phase I start date if it exists, and update the Full Treatment start date if it exists, but will NOT add a Full Treatment start date if the Phase I start date exists and has a completion date but Full Treatment start date is blank.   This defect has been reopened for additional work.

3.  (this defect is the one to which I believe you're referring)  Insurance claims read the "Appliance Placed" (box 41) date from the start dates on the patient info screen *every time* an insurance claim is opened, instead of reading the date at the time the claim is created and never again after that. This means that if you create a claim when the patient has a Phase I start date, the Phase I date will be read for the Appliance Placed box, but if you then add a Full Treatment start date later on and reopen that previously saved claim, the new Full Treatment start date will then override the previously saved Appliance Placed info for that claim.   This defect was thought to have been corrected in v15.1  but I have just discovered that it was not resolved as thought.  I have reopened that one for additional work as well.

Regards,

Phil Carter / Orthotrac Escalations

In response to the banding date in your insurance claim, you need to use a code when entering your new phase of treatment when entering your contract in Orthotrac that indicates a new banding date, then your new claim will automatically have that new banding date in it.
