When will our office see the new update? For some reason in the past we have always been overlooked when it comes to getting the updates for Orthotrac. The only time that we end up with one is because I have had to call technical support for an issue that we are having and they find out that we are behind on all of the updates and send us out a new disk so we have the current version.

Thank you for your question. All Carestream Dental version updates are shipped out in waves to our customers, with clients who have issues specifically resolved with a certain change to the software contained in the version update getting it first, then they are distributed to all CSD clients with active and financially up-to-date accounts by account number, so sometimes it appears to clients that they aren't being sent the update when they are actually just in the queue. If you would like to request an update once one it is in general release (to get it before your office would be customarily sent it, as noted previously) you can specifically request it at our Update Central site: Carestream Dental - Update Central and a DVD will be shipped to your practice within a week.

I just thought we would have gotten it by now. I had received a phone call from CS saying that it was going to be sent out and that they were sending an email with details. Haven't received either. Maybe I just misunderstood. Is there a way to find out when our office is scheduled to receive it?

I am sorry, but I didn't see your practice on a previous shipment, so have added your practice to the v14 immediate shiplist today. You should receive the DVD within the next week or so.
