eBackup Service Migration to 3rd Party Partner (SYS IT Services Datto) October – December 2021

 

  • As of October 15, 2021, Carestream Dental will no longer provide our own branded eBackup products to our customers. 

 

  • CSD will be offering this product to our customers through a new 3rd party partnership with a company called Sys IT Services powered by Datto Technologies

 

  • Datto does not sell direct to consumers but work with distribution partners they called Managed Service Providers (MSP).  Sys IT Services is a top Platinum level Datto MSP and has a wealth of experience delivering, engineering, and supporting Datto's solutions

 

  • SYS IT Services provides dental practices with Managed IT Services, Managed IT Security Services, Business Continuity/Disaster Recovery, Cloud Hosting Services, and Virtual CIO/CTO Services.  SYS IT Services has vast experience working with hospitals and clinics of all sizes with deep knowledge of healthcare IT. 

In addition, SYS IT Services is HIPPA compliant and has expert level experience and knowledge supporting and implementing Carestream Dental Practice Management Software solutions (15+ years). 

  • Going forward, Sys IT Services will ‘own’ the relationship with the customers and will be responsible for Sales & Marketing, Billing, Customer Support, etc.

 

  • Today, there are an estimated 300 customers that use eBackup services today. CSD will send a notification of change of service providers to customers (email is below)

 

  • Following our correspondence with the customers, a representative from SYS IT Services will be contacting the practices in the next few weeks to schedule the installation of the new Datto service, migration of the data backup and to set up the billing directly

 

  • There are no changes in system requirements and pricing.  Customers will, however, have the option in the future to explore upgraded enhancements to your existing service.

 

  • The installation will occur during normal business hours. The estimated time to install the new applications will 15-30 minutes. The representative from Sys IT Services will walk through the process with each dental practice over the phone. No service disruptions are expected

 

  • The transition process from CSD to Sys IT Services will start in October and will be completed by December 31st, 2021.

Moving forward, SYS IT Services will be your direct point of contact for billing and customer service.
