OrthoTrac: How to Change the OrthoTrac Default Printer Settings to Use a Different Printer

When printing an Insurance claim, report, word processing letter, envelope, ticket, label, or form - the default printer shows when the Print Options screen opens.  

To change the printer to a new default, select the printer from the list on the Print Options window.  

When the message displays indicating that the printer selected is not the default printer, click the Yes button to change it to the default printer.

 

NOTE: Printer selections are stored in the OMS.INI configuration file.  This means that these settings are:
1. Specific to each workstation. 
2. Specific to each USER on a Windows Terminal Server (WTS) and must be set up individually for each user.  
3.  If a printer is selected as a default for a particular area in OrthoTrac and the printer is then removed from windows control panel, attempting to print to the default selection in OrthoTrac will result in a Run Time Error 1046
