OrthoTrac: Version 14 - "Edit Today's Treatment" Option in Charting Does Not Save Procedure Code Changes, All Procedures Lost

Issue:

When using the "Edit Today's Treatment" option in Charting (Edit, Edit Today's Treatment), double-clicking the Procedure column to change the procedures attached to a specific visit and then clicking OK does not save the changes. Instead, all the procedures formerly attached to the visit are lost; additionally, newly entered procedures do not get saved in their place.

Solution:

This has been identified as a defect in version 14.0.0.25 and will be corrected with the release of version 14.1, expected for release in early May 2018.  In the meantime, the workaround for this issue is to revert to the original TX Card.

To revert to the original Treatment Card interface:

1. Select Functions, Maintenance/Setup, Charting Maintenance.

2. In the Charting Options section, place a checkmark in the the box "Use Original Tx Card".

3. Click OK to save changes and exit Charting Maintenance.

4. Restart Charting on all workstations for the change to take effect.

Wow, this is a major problem. Do you have a time estimate on a fix for this?

Good day Dr. Teredesai (smileart),

We do not currently have an ETA on a resolution for this issue.  I am tagging uriyahrobinson‌,  r.alfieri‌  and jdickens‌  to let them speak to that.

Good day Dr. Teredesai (smileart‌),

Good news from Development -- they actually have finished final testing on a fix for this issue, just ahead of the final cutoff point for the release of OrthoTrac version 14.1.  The fix will be available in that version, which is expected to go to duplication within the next two weeks and should be available to clients shortly thereafter.  Please keep an eye out here on the Exchange for announcements on its availability.

Regards,

Phil Carter / OrthoTrac Escalations
