I'd like to use the Automation Expert / Events to have code D1999 automatically posted when checking out a patient and certain conditions are met (like specific Insurance Names).I have a good handle on the condition part, but I'm struggling a bit finding the proper Response to use.
I'm currently using the Appointment Book's Check out event and adding a new Response: "Add procedure to chart" which initially seemed to fit my requirement. However, the D1999 is added to the chart as "Proposed" and doesn't really make it to the checkout screen.
How can I add the code as "Completed" instead?
The idea would be the code is added to the checkout screen alongside the ones already entered in the chart so the person doing the checkout can see the code (and remove/change if needed), to then complete the checkout normally.
You could add it to all of your pre-defined appointments, but then it would not be specific to certain insurance companies.
I do not know of a way to make this happen. There is a specific feature in the software for automatic adjustment posting, but nothing for automatic procedure code posting. The only response could be "add procedure to chart," but the intent is to add it to the chart not the check-out.
