Ive noticed in the Block Booking Specification under apptbook, view, block booking production that it has a max date of 12/31/18.

Hi Alisa! Thanks for posting! 

What you see is an intentional, albeit arbitrary, limitation.  This was put into place so that someone didn't create database records for the appointment template in perpetuity which would take up disk space and potentially slow performance.
