Is there a way to insert constant values in a field export, short of having to create a new variable for each one that returns a string? For example, we only have one location and would like to have a column that reads "Main Office" in the resulting CSV.
Is there a syntax in the field export definition that would allow to enter it in between fields directly?
Do you have anything that indicates that the patient is from the "Main Office"? A Chart number, a form or note?
Depending on how they are marked to indicate which office they are from, it might be possible to create and use a variable that pulls that information so it's included with that patient's export entry. This would make it display that text for each row, not just once as a single entry somewhere on the spreadsheet.
I have not seen a way to make a field export include a single static text.
@tshaw maybe someone in the training department has seen a way to do this?
I'll ask around my team as well to see if anyone has found a way to do this.
I would like to speak with you more on the phone to understand the end goal with this a little better if that would be possible. From my current understanding of what you are asking, no, there is not a way to have a field export document include text that is not pulled using a variable, and there is also not a way to make it pull a variable only once for the entire export, it would pull the variable text for each entry (row) on the spreadsheet..
Thank you for the post @cltdentalpro and I apologize for the delay in response.
@jdowner do you know?
