Customize check out screen?

Jump to solution

Is there a way to customize buttons on the Practice Works check out screen? To better integrate with our credit card software, we'd like to add an "add entry" button to the check out screen.  Since there is a way to customize buttons in the chart, can we also customize our buttons in the ledger and check out screen?

Hello Heidi

As it is now, there is not a way to customize the checkout ledger window.  We are only set up to be able to directly integrate with TSYS, which is a Credit Card processing merchant.

The only potential option, which I tested, would be to set up the credit card software as an autolink to the credit card codes on the payment list.  This will trigger it to launch the credit card software when you add the code AND complete the checkout.  Meaning, after you click OK to complete the checkout, it will then launch the credit card software, and even then, as the last event. So after the insurance submission details window, and after the NEA window if you're attaching something to the claim.  The manually entered CC code will still show up on the ledger and statement like normal, you'd just have to wait until the checkout completes to run the card.

Otherwise, the way you're currently operating will probably end up being the best process to keep.
