Delta Dental Insurance - patient %

Any suggestions on how to run a report to figure out what % of our practice has Delta Dental insurance? We are a Delta Dental Premier office. Time to make some decisions.

I also would like to know how to run this report from Soft Dent. We also are needing to make a decision.

@larrymoedds-gma Unfortunately, the reports we can create within the CS PracticeWorks software cannot be used within the CS Softdent software.  You would want to inquire with SoftDent support by either reaching out via phone support or creating a thread within the CS SoftDent section of the forum.

I worked with Joe today to get his Delta patient count Anaylsys expert uploaded into the Expert Exchange so it can be downloaded. 

If you go into the Expert Exchange, then expand the option for Ban R. Barbat, DDS-PC you'll see the expert "Delta Patient Count" that can be selected and downloaded. 

Remember to uncheck the Install to Tutorial Database option at the bottom.   Once it's downloaded it'll be under Experts > Analysis Experts > "(JD) Delta Count - New"

There is no built in report but I developed a custom analysis expert for that purpose years ago. It’ takes a long time to actually run but it does the job. I am away from the office this weekend but I vaguely remember that it searches for the five left characters in the insurance company field to match it up to the word “Delta”. Then it counts the number of active patients with and without insurance. From there, the sheet does the calculations to give percentages.
I have no idea how to share or transfer this analysis expert. Only thing I can think of doing would be to remote into your system and add it manually.
We used to be able to share experts in the old days but I don’t even remember how or whether that mechanism still exists.
On a tangent, we are also a premier office and dealing with delta has gotten progressively worse over the past ten years. We would sorely love to dump delta but we aren’t willing to deal with all that at this stage of our careers.

@nageldds We have never been able to figure out a way to do this, so we just snag the lowest paid employee, have her run reports for EVERY Delta, manually calculate the total and then compare that to our Office Expert figure of "active patients".
