Practiceworks Charting Module

I would like to chart when a patient is referred to a specialist for treatment without adding the treatment to their treatment plan. For example, if a patient needs RCT on a tooth and I chart it as proposed treatment it will go on their treatment plan even though it is not proposed to be done in our office.

Re: Practiceworks Charting Module

Hello @clarkwood

As @rmk6231 Mentioned, the clipboards have a built in referral button on the patient's clipboards. Here you may enter both professional and non-professional referrals that are tracked separately.

You can find the referral button on the clipboard's right side button column, third from last.

Here is a quick clip of using the referral section for professional referrals. professional referrals.gif

This will make it so you don't have to 'chart' the codes into the tx plan.  plus you can edit the information inside the referral up until you add a date completed, which will then close that referral.

If you have any additional questions let me know.
