Report Based on Percentage of Insured vs. Uninsured Patient

Is there a method to generate a report to provide me with our percentages of insured and uninsured patients?

The closest report that we could provide is the Patient Count analysis expert. This expert will provide you the total number of active and inactive patients, and then under each of those how many are insured vs un-insured. Once you have those numbers you can then calculate the percentage manually.

  • You can get this report installed by going to Expert > PracticeWorks Expert Exchange.
  • The Expert Exchange window will open and on the displayed list you will need to scroll down to the option for "PW Support."
    • There will be two "PW Support" options. You will want to expand the first one.
  • Once expanded select the expert "Patient Count v2 Corrected."
  • Uncheck the box for "Install to Tutorial Database" on the lower right.
  • Click Download.
  • Click Accept to both of the prompts and the expert will be downloaded and installed into your data.
  • Click close on the download window.
  • Click close to close the Expert Exchange window.

To use the expert

  • Go to the Expert menu> Analysis Expert
  • Select and run the "Count" expert.
  • Click Yes to recalculate when asked.

This will display as a spreadsheet and can be printed if desired.
