SECURITY LOG SCHEDULING AN APPT

When I view my security log and use a system event as in scheduling an appointment, it doesn't list any information.  How can I see who scheduled a particular appointment?  Is this an option?

Most likely those events you are looking for are not set to record to the log. 

To enable them to record do the following:

1. Go to File > Security > Edit access requirements.
   1. This will require level 10 access.
2. On this list you will locate the desired system event, such as "Create a new appointment," or "Check in appointment," etc. 
3. On the right column for Write to log click on the entry until it cycles to either "Always" or "On success."

Go forward those events will create entries in the security/audit log.

So there is no way to see what had happened today if this was not selected?

Correct. changing the setting is not retroactive in creating log entries.  It will only record them from that moment going forward.
