Treatment plans - multiple questions

We have most of our codes set up to auto create a treatment plan when scheduling.  When this happens, does PW not populate an "entry date" in the tx plan?  Does the entry date populate only when a tx plan is manually entered or created from charting?

Also, when we enter a treatment plan manually through the clipboard, why does that information not carry over and show as proposed on the hard tissue chart?

Hello @sonyap

Answers to your questions:

Auto created Tx Plans: does PW not populate an "entry date" in the tx plan?

There is not an "entry date" in the Tx plan:

Populates the date created in Tx plan list.

Populates the scheduled date and time in the Tx plan.

why does that information not carry over and show as proposed on the hard tissue chart?

I created a tx plan manually through the clipboard for #19 and shows as proposed on the hard tissue chart

Thanks for the input on the entry date.  For services entered in a way other than making an appointment, the entry date shows in that column.  But as you can see below, when an item is added to a tx plan through making an appointment, no entry date is listed.

If I then delete the appointment, it is still left in the tx plan (which is why we set up our codes to operate that way), but then there is no indication why it is there, how it got there, etc.

@radams Just to clarify, you went either to Lists -> People or Phone icon and then Ok or Edit for the patient, then clicked "Tx Plan", Create New Plan, entered the information into the treatment plan and when you closed out and got back in, the tooth & service you entered was marked accordingly on the hard tissue charting?

If that is the case, I need to know why that is not happening for our office.  I just went through all the steps to re-confirm.

@sonyap Yes those are the steps I follow and display in the hard tissue chart. Suggest you contact support why that occurs at your practice.

@sonyapGood news-there is an configuration option to display entry date on the tx plan!

PW configurations>Set up> General> Preferences> Treatment plans>display Entry Date?
