area code auto-fill

Is there a way to turn off the area code auto-fill when tabbing through a clipboard?  Our part of the state has 2 area codes and the default area code is not always correct.  Also, with so many cell phones with out of state area codes, this feature is not always useful. Thank you.

Re: area code auto-fill

Yes, that is possible.  To enable/disable the Auto-populate for zipcodes do the following

  1. Open the Configuration of CS PracticeWorks ("Green screen")
    1. Windows Start Menu > Cs PracticeWorks > Configuration of CS PracticeWork
  2. Go to Setup then General Configuration
  3. Expand the options for Preferences then Clipboard
  4. Select the option "Auto-populate city and state based on ZIP code"
  5. In the Value box at the bottom click the drop down and select "No"
  6. Click on Save Entry and Close.

Re: area code auto-fill

Thank you, BUT I need the AREA code to not auto populate. Is there a way to do that without disabling the zip code auto populate? I appreciate the step=by=step instructions if I decide to go this route.

Re: area code auto-fill

ah, area code.  There isn't a setting that can control that.

The same Zip Code and/or Area Code can be associated with more than one City. By default, whenever a Zip Code or Area Code is manually entered onto a Clipboard, the software will remember it.

Later, it will automatically populate the other fields with the name of the last City and the number of the last Area Code which were entered for that particular Zip Code.

There isn't way to disable this feature.
