NPI variable for User Defined variable

I need to include the NPI for the Primary doctor in a user defined document. This field is in the employee setup along with others like License and DEA, however is missing in the formula builder when creating a new user defined Merge Variable.

Please advice how to access a provider's NPI in a formula.
