When we archive patients we now (since recent R4 version update) lose the address of the patient automatically. We recently wanted to look at a patients notes who had been archived to understand what the last visit was about and see why archived. We then couldn't access the actual treatment notes without an address. This is a problem is it not? Can you please explain the point of this and what we can do to open archived patients treatment notes. surely we should put in a dummy address just to get to see what the treatment was or last visit said? Or am I missing something here?
Recent changes were made to the archive process so that the address details are removed when a patient is archived in order to prevent any letters being generated for those patients in the future.
There are two ways that you can access the patient's clinical notes if they are archived:
Regardless of which method shown above is used, you do not need to make the patient current and they can remain Archived.
