Hyperlink in SMS Reminder

Hi, We are wanting to put a hyperlink into our SMS reminder but with shortened name... Because the box doesn't allow you to paste into it I am struggling to get this in there without typing out the actual web address which then goes over the 155 characters... Any ideas??

Re: Hyperlink in SMS Reminder

Hi,

If you need a link in your SMS then you will need to format is as below:

http://community.carestreamdental.com

If you include the http:// before the address and take out the www. then you should be all set. Please test first but that should get you sorted.

Many Thanks

Matt

Re: Hyperlink in SMS Reminder

Good Morning,

Thanks for your query, If you press the CTRL V function on your keyboard it will paste whatever you last copied into the template.

Also if you are on our later versions of R4+ (6.6.1 or above) you can go over 155 characters but it would charge as 2 texts

Kind Regards

Re: Hyperlink in SMS Reminder

Good Morning

You could also use a service such as https://tinyurl.com/ where you can turn a long URL into a short one.

for example, https://community.carestreamdental.com/ turns into https://tinyurl.com/y5w2unaa which is 11 characters shorter.

And you can paste into the SMS box, simply copy the text then use "ctrl+v" on your keyboard to paste.

Hope that helps.

Kind Regards
