R4 server update via remote desktop

Is it possible to do the 8.1.16 update on the R4 server via remote desktop. Tried to do this a few years ago and it didnt go well!! Was told by support that it didnt work/ was not recommended. Would be nice to at least get some of the task done remotely. Cheers. Matthew

I am sorry but it is not possible to update R4 via Remote Desktop. 

Please call the help desk and I would be happy to show you how to run the upgrade/help you.
