Treatment by another list number

Hi,

Can anyone help

I am having problems sending claims under "treatment carried out by another dentist at the same Practice"

I have tried every scenario with the choices provided, but, it keeps coming back saying 'type 2 claim'

I called helpdesk and they said the patient must be under a different list number at the board, but, I have checked and the patient is under the list we have it as.

The way I have been sending these claims is to actually commence caps/cons with the stand in dentist, then change it back to the correct dentist when patient next in to see them.  This does not seem right though - any ideas

Thank you

In Addition below is some more information.

If the patient doesn't currently have an open course of treatment, you can simply put on the treatment items by dentist that has carried out the TX (Don't change anything on schemes tab).
When you complete the TP and only and the claim stage select the Not registered with this dentist - Claiming dentist (dentist that carried out the TX) - Pt Type - Leave as Con/Care/Cap unless they are not registered at the practice.

If however, the patient is currently under a course of treatment at the practice and is seen as and emergency by another dentist (not their registered dentist), then you are not able to open another course of treatment as the patient is 'under care' and cannot have two courses of treatment open at the same time.

Practitioner services suggest that any additional TX is added to the open plan and this should be reconciled at the end of the month between the Dentists.

Hopefully this will stop the claims being rejected as a type 2 claim.

Hi,

Thank you for your reply

But, the latest claim I had to send had no open TX plans and it still wouldn't let us send as

Not Registered with this Dentist - C/C

Also, we previously were able to open a second TX plan for another Dentist to see a patient not on their list so unsure why we cannot still do this

Thanks
