CS SoftDent Version 18 - What's New!

Hello SoftDent Community!

After a long wait, the next version of SoftDent has been officially released!

I know a lot of you have been waiting patiently for the new ePayments Secure and we have some new workflow improvements to make your day a bit easier.

Hosted customers will be updating over the next few weeks and once we get the discs in (2-3 weeks) we will be shipping.

Version 18.0 of SoftDent features significant improvements to make your practice management experience more efficient.

New integration with ePayment Secure enables you to accept the methods of payments that your patients prefer using advanced security technology.

Improvements to printing, accessing and capturing patient information streamlines communication among staff and provides your office with even more functionality so you can wrap up your workday on time!

 

Enroll in ePayments Secure to enjoy latest payment options

  • CS SoftDent now includes more integrated eService payment options for patients.

  • ePayments Secure enables your practice to accept the latest payment methods such as chip, debit cards, credit cards, Apple Pay, Google Pay and Samsung Pay, allowing patients to use their preferred payment method.

  • With ePayments Secure, patients can make payments via your website, allowing them to pay anywhere at any time.

  • ePayments Secure authorizes and posts payments directly to the patient ledger in SoftDent, automatically settling electronic payments for nightly processing and eliminating the time-consuming process of manual payment entry

 

Track when clinical notes are reviewed

  • CS SoftDent helps staff ensure that crucial clinical notes are reviewed and tracks when the doctor has reviewed the notes.

  • The new Reviewed by Dr. checkbox provides instant communication for the staff and confirms which notes have not yet been reviewed by the doctor.

  • y checking the Review by Dr. check box, doctors can notify staff that a patient’s clinical notes have been read. Once checked, a Yes will be displayed in the Reviewed by Dr. column of both the Work Performed window and the Patient Clinical Notes List window.

    The System Security settings allow you to established permission for the users authorized to check the Reviewed by Dr. checkbox. Any changes to the settings are tracked in the Chart Audit Trail report

Improve productivity and efficiency

  • For on-premise users, SoftDent support can now schedule your three core utilities (Rebuild/Re-index, Find Largest I and Find/Repair Corrupt) to run automatically at a time that is most convenient for your practice, eliminating the need to contact support every time.

  • A Print Routing Slip shortcut has been added to the Options window in the Express Bar.  When the appointment is selected, simply press the "N" hotkey to print the Routing Slip. You can also print the routing slip   from the top of the Appointment Card window or by right-clicking on the appointment.

  • Name and Date Created fields have been added to the Team Talk Notes window, providing you with additional details about each note.

    The Bulk Insurance Payment window has been expanded, enabling you to view more transactions at a glance.

    The landscape of dentistry is changing, and patients may receive dental care from a licensed professional outside of the practice. To accommodate this shift, 19 new options have been added to the Place of Service dropdown list to help facilitate the processing of claims for services performed outside of the dental practice. Examples of new options include:
    • Schools
    • Assisted living facilities
    • Urgent care facilities

We are anxiously waiting on a disk to be sent. Actually chomping at the bit. We have a dbm error to due overly large clinical notes which should be rectified in new version.
