Entering a New Fee Schedule

You would think I would know this, but I need to enter a brand new fee schedule into our system.  I haven't done it in so long, I completely forgot how to do it.

Entering a new Insurance Fee Schedule into SoftDent:

  • List>Allowance Table
  • Click Enter on keyboard one time
  • Click ADD
  • Give the new allowance table (fee schedule) a name to identify it
  • Click OK
  • Now you must update the fees to the amount that insurance plan allows for each code
  • Look for VIEW CODES in the option bar and click
  • Now edit each code that is covered (delete any NOT covered from the allowance table)
  • After the Allowance table has been created and updated, then you need to link it to the insurance plans that use this allowance table (fee schedule)
  • List>Insurance Plans
  • Edit the plan
  • Make sure it is set to PPO estimation type
  • GO to the Coverage tab and at the bottom Link the Allowance table
  • That will in turn create the Bluebook for the plan
