Having trouble with the Voice Activation Module

We currently are using SoftDent version 16.2.4 and are getting our hygienists up and running on the voice activation probing module. We have done a lot of "training the computer" to each of their voices. Having an issue with the computer flipping between Microsoft and SoftDent. What are we doing wrong??? Any ideas???

All users using Voice Activation will need their own separate WINDOWS and SOFTDENT user login....has this been done?

in addition to David's response, you also need a good noise cancelation headset.

Technically, you do not need a completely new user profile in Windows (which can be a process depending on other applications installed).  You can manage multiple voice profiles within the advanced settings of the voice module within Windows.  We have found that most issues with the voice module are due to a poor performing headset, so if you invest in a good product it will go a long way.

Our hygienists have random screens pop up when using the voice module.  Sometimes it is the scheduler, other times it looks like a giant calculator overlay.  Sometimes when they go in to write their clinical notes, even with the headset off, the computer just types random words in the notes section.

Any idea why?  Is there a setting we need to adjust?  This is very disruptive to their perio charting.

The headsets we use are the exact Logitech ones recommended by Carestream.
