Hi Carrie, we use Lighthouse 360 for our appointment reminders and confirmations and find it very useful and user-friendly.  It integrates with SoftDent to confirm appointments and patients can email and text us in real time with questions or changes to their appointments.

An enhancement I'd like to see is SoftDent 16 certified for Windows Server 16.

Is that in the works?

I would love to see the following things:

1Smiley Wink  the ability to select which plan Softdent assigns the "write-off" to, per patient.   As it is now if you participate the Primary and there is not an adjustment for any reason, the system simply does not provide an adjustment at all.  Then we have to hand configure.  THis would eliminate the need to correct the COB button which has never worked.

2.) The ability to file tertiary plans

3.)  The ability to set frequencies per procedure code in bluebook.

4.)  The ability to not change the allowance table from bluebook.  We should be able to change the payment and percentage but not allowance table within the bluebook.  Doing so, changes the write-off

5.)  The ability to distinguish between an alternate benefit provision per code. ie, molar-posterior composites, molar porcelain crowns to say the least.

6.)   The ability to use our own disclaimers on Treatment plans and the ability to highlight sections for patients. 

7.)  The ability to use bulk payment,  (its messy now and I cannot use it)

8.)  Fix the  Ortho filing within softdent, it automatically wants to set the claim and case on a budget plan. I have not figured out a work around and am completely frustrated with it,  Suggestions anyone?

9.)   The ability to run a report to see which plans and / or patients are associated to an Allowance Table.  This would really help when a Third Party Payor decides to switch allowance tables on us. 

10.)   To have the ability to assign insurance benefits per Group within the Treatment plan, as it is now, it assigns benefits in numerical group number.  For Instance, having that ability to enter a treatment plan and assign insurance benefits to the group we select will ease the discussion of out of pocket costs for patients.  We will not have to re-assign the treatment to a "Group 1" prior to discussing or printing with patients.

I would like to be able to access patient documents and patient screen from the scheduler.  If you could add those "buttons" to the ones when you click on the arrow to the left of the schedule screen that would be great!  I check a lot of insurance eligibility on the patient screen and at this time I have to click on the appointment, click on patient name, then go to patient screen and click eligibility.  Also as we inch closer to going paperless it would be great to be able access patient documents from scheduler and for the clinical staff from the patient chart.  Thanks

SoftDent Enhancement Requests – March/2017

 

Reporting

  1. Enhancements to the patients by Company report, We need a summary option. That gives us the total numbers for each carrier.
  2. We need a report that has Production/Collections/Write-offis by Carrier, this report should summarize totals by all Insurance Carriers within a single report and have the ability to run for a single carrier as well.
  3. The Ability to Export the Deposit Slip to Excel 
  4. Please add the “Last FMX” to the Patient User Selected Reports
  5. Please add the “Last PANOREX” to the Patient User Selected Reports
  6. Please add a Tooth and Surface to the Transactions for a Period (it does not need to be the default, but a check box to do so would be great.
  7. Please add the ability to print schedules for a date range
  8. EFT Tracking – Make Balancing easier

 

Letter Expert

I would like the ability to send a Letter Expert Letter to the Document Review Queue,  with the ability to make/save changes made by the doctor. Once it is marked approved, it would save it in the document center.

 

 

Charting

  1. Please have a setting to remove the default notes from a Treatment Plan
  2. Please have a setting to remove the default notes from  Outside work
  3. Please review Printing the Clinical Notes (wasted space and cutting off words) they also need the ability to print these outside of a chart. They will also need to Print notes by a dates range/Provider #
  4. Please have a place for the doctor/Hygienist to Sign his/her note
  5. Please have the ability to see which notes have already been review and approved by the doctors
  6. The Ability to Chart bleeding points on all teeth or Quadrant
  7. Currently, there is an ADA code 6100 to Ext an Implant; this removes the implant from the chart perfectly.  The issue is the Crown Remains in the chart.  We need the ability to remove a graphic from the chart.   There is the option to “remove From Chart” @ the Transaction level, but this feature is not removing the graphic from the chart

(this would not let me paste a screen shot here (open a previous transaction for a crown)

  1. Voice Activated Clinical Notes
  2. The Ability to Review all clinical Note at a glance
  3. The Ability to Filter out unwanted clinical notes (X-rays, FMS, CONTEXT, ETC)
  4. Expand the size of the clinical note viewing sections shown below/with the ability to see the chart while the notes are open
  1. Voice Activated Clinical Notes
  2. Treatment Plan Tab in the charting module – the ability to change the doctor, currently you need to exit the chart if you forgot to select the provider initially

All very good points. Editing and saving letter from letter expert woud be great.
