How to read .dat files

I am trying to read the appointments that are booked in SoftDent. There is a appts.dat file that is used to save the appointments in softdent. When I open this file, it has a lot of binary data in it which is not readable.

Is there any way to read this data and know which fields have which values ?

How to get the offset and length for a particular field (operatoryID for example) ?

Unfortunately, we cannot provide the .dat information but you can apply to become a Carestream partner if the .dat data is for use in a third-party application. You can find information for that here.
