How to submit just the secondary insurance claim electronically when Primary ins claim is completed?

I am facing a situation where a patient informed us about his secondary insurance coverage after the primary insurance paid and we closed the claim. How can I create just a secondary claim and attach a primary insurance EOB in softdent and send electronically?  Thank you.

You can create a new primary claim, then attach a $0.00 insurance payment so that it creates the secondary claim.  Then, simply indicate the primary paid amount on the secondary claim when submitting it. 

Further most secondary claims require the EOB so not all insurance companies accept the secondary claims electronically. In order to attach the primary EOB to send electronically you would need to use NEA (National Electronic Attachments), otherwise send the claim and EOB via paper.
