My doctor tends to leave his computer logged into since its in his office. He has found that after surgerys he comes back and he has been kicked out of softdent. Is there an idle time that causes softdent to close down? Or a time limit? If so is there a way to remove it
while I understand how frustrating that could be be careful modifying this as it is a HIPAA requirement. If you choose to do this, make sure you enable another safeguard similar to auto log off such as auto sleep on the computer.
Yes, you must login using the DOCTOR user account and go to System -> Change System Settings -> HIPAA Options and disable the auto logoff but it will affect the whole practice.
