Notes for outstanding claims follow up

Jump to solution

Hi everyone,

I'm curious anyone have a better method for tracking this than in the patient transactions attached to the claim? I also just end up re-copying notes on a printed report. It would be really nice if there was a way to track follow up on outstanding claims in a way that showed up on the report.

Thanks!

Chelsea

SoftDent has a reserved note range in the ADA list,  it starts at 101001, Add a code 101001, label it **insurance Note**, add the office code IN this will be your short cut, when you follow up with a claim you can add this transaction,   enter claim notes.  you will now have the ability to run the transactions for a period report. this report will show your notes.

reports

Accounting

transactions for a period

enter your date range

code 101001 - 101001

Thank you for your advice! I will do that. In the future it would be nice to have a way to have notes attached to a claim that can show up on outstanding insurance report.

100% agree with you. It would also be nice to see the provider number and the secondary guarantor ID as well as the secondary patient DOB like it does for the Primary Carrier.
