We need to run a report for # of visits per quarter.

Go to Report>>-Practice Mgmt>>PT visit statistics>>enter dates and providers>>Compute.    This will tell you the number of Patients ( In the event a patient has two appts on a day it should equal another "Patient" as a new appt card will be tracked on the schedule.   You could cross check this by running this report on a known day wherein a pt has two appts with different providers,by changing the provider.

Did you ever get an answer for this?  I am trying to run the same report for HRSA.  We do not use the "change room" options so the appointment list does not work for us.

When you say # of of visits per quarter, do you mean literally all patient visits for a time period for any procedure? Or are you looking for a specific number of times a procedure was performed?

Do you know if the number of patients listed on the Register is by visit or per patient?

How are you "defining" # of visits?  If you have a denture patient come in, then there are multiple visits.  You counting every one of those?  Or, extraction patient comes in for post op check?

Try the transactions for a period report, and select the quarter range, then select the codes ranges.  Do report option 1 which lists each code separately, then run ... print to screen first to see if that gives you the data you desire.

I am trying to find an easy way...All I can think is the "Appointment List".  Maybe someone else can think of something different? This report will give alot of information or you can limit what you want - there will be a total on the last page.  You probably don't want to print - as it will be a long report.

The Appointment List report lists all appointments scheduled within a specified date range. This report includes the patient's appointment time, ID, name, chart number, phone numbers, age, appointment provider ID, account balance, and the appointment reason. It also displays the date the appointment was made, the fee, the patient's portion, the estimated insurance payment, and any medical alerts.

To run the Appointment List report:

  1. Select Reports > Recall/Appt > Appointment List. The Output Options window is displayed.

  2. Select an output and click OK. The Appointment List Report Setup window is displayed.

  3. In the Dates section, click the drop-down arrows to select the Start and Stop dates from a calendar.

  4. In the Patient User Codes section, type the user codes you want to include or exclude from the report.

  5. Select Include Inactive Patients to include inactive patients in the report.

  1. In the Lab Cases Info section, deselect a checkbox to include only lab or non-lab cases.

  2. In the Doctors section, click the drop-down arrow to select the doctors from a list, or leave 999 to report on all doctors.

  3. In the Hygienists section, click the drop-down arrow to select the hygienists from a list, or leave 999 to report on all hygienists.

  4. In the Code Ranges section, click the drop-down arrows to select up to five code ranges on which to report.

  5. To specify a single code, type the code in the left column and leave the right column 0.

  1. If you selected the Merge Letter Expert output option, the Letter Expert Template ID field is active. Click the drop-down arrow to select a template from the list.

  2. Click OK.
