Payer ID's

Why doesn't softdent use Payer ID's have letters?  I keep getting my claims stopped or kicked back for using the paper claim ID.

I have this issue with Aetna Better Health. They are not the same as Aetna.  We are having to mail everything.  I was told that you do not have an alternative payor ID for Aetna Better Health.  The claims are taking forever and it is a real inconvenience.   Do you have any plans on updating Softdent to accept payor ID's with letters in them?

Hi Laura,

You can use the commercial paper payer id and it will still go

electronically 00004, 00004 allows claims that would normally be forced to paper to be sent electronically through the clearing house. It ie the clearing house sends the "paper" claim which saves you from printing and mailing.

Please send me the alpha numeric payer id for Aetna Better Health that was

recommended and I will research it.

The Aetna Better Health Payer ID is 128WV.   I sent a claim on 12-13-16 using the 00004 and I just called them and they still do not have record of the claim. Using 00004 does not help us really.  It just saves us paper, envelope, and a stamp. Our claim is still delayed.

What does it mean when it says, claim rejected see remittance?  The claim was rejected within the system, there is no remittance. I agree the 00004 doesn't really help.

the 00004 doesn't work with all insurance companies.

Hi Heidi, I am researching this issue, I see that that are two Stevens point addresses that are accepting eclaims and as you say 1 as has letters instead of numbers

WDENC Delta of WI (PO Box 103 Stevens Point)

39069 Delta Dental of Wisconsin Stevens Point, WI) No

ENCARA insurance company. ID 01130 for SD is also sending claims to this address.

I will post again when I get the next update

In fact, I keep getting a claim kicked back on a patient.  I have all ready verified the info with delta dental and it keeps kicking back through your system..  Not sure how to rectify it,

ECS has always been great to give us the numerical Payer ID, as needed.

But some Payers like Delta Dental in stevens point WI use WENDC, I can't submit claims without that ID

Hi Heidi,

The Carestream clearing house payer ID for

Delta Dental Plan of Wisconsin is  39069, if this doesn't work please let me know. I have attached link to  E Claims Payer List for your review.

The payer ID's relate to the specific clearing house and are not always correct on the patient's insurance card.

Hope this resolves the issue. Please let us know and we will research deeper as needed,

Thanks

Bert

This isn't Delta of Wisconsin.  This is Delta Dental.  This is a different mailing address than delta dental of WI,  using the payer ID above kicks the claim back,

There are similar issues with payer ID's of Humana,  Some work and some have letters that don't work.
