Practice Central not loading/refreshing

Practice Central is not loading on many computers and it is not refreshing on the ones it is loading on.  It says the correct date, but it does not show the correct information.  Carestream, please either answer here or have someone call our office that is knowledgeable on this issue.  Our number is:  734-663-6777.  If anyone has had this happen and have had a resolution, we would also love your feedback.  Thank you.

Sometimes it has to do with the Hkey setting and corrupt user profiles.  SoftDent support can address this for you.  866-435-7473

Our firewall on Server was rejecting Practice Cental.   SD Tech support fixed this issue for us today.

Sometimes it has to do with the Hkey setting and corrupt user profiles.  SoftDent support can address this for you.  866-435-7473

@enspire after reviewing our support notes, this may have been resolved already over the phone. Please let me know if that is not the case though.

Thank you.  Carestream did work with our IT company, but unfortunately, Practice Central is still not loading.

after a great many trial and error, our Practice Central fails daily.   Whats going on???   Practice Central is a great feature of SD.

I would check with support, it could be a firewall setting, it is some that happens in many offices and they can fix it rather quickly.

For what it's worth, these are my notes from past times this has happened.  Hope this helps:

  • To Correct Practice Central due to SD Task not working – will know this because the icon will not be listed on the tray (Red S on Blue background):
    • Right click Softdent Icon
    • Select Properties
    • Double click location and get to OS
    • Select Data
    • Select Softdent
    • Find SDTask Manager….should be able to double click to restart
