SHORT CALL

Has anyone figured out a work around with trying to keep track of patients willing to come in sooner if there is a cancellation.  The program has a known problem with this working properly.  The report will not generate. The patient also cannot be put into the short call list, and still keep the scheduled appointment.

YES, I just got confirmation there is a defect in V 19 with the short call report.  Currently the report is hanging up if an appointment is marked as a short call. this will be fixed in the next release. 

We will post here on the Exchange when the update is available.  

Possible Work Around:

un-check - any appointment or tickler marked as a short call.  enter a note on the tickler like this;

SHORT CALL-wants any Wednesday sooner, this way it will stand out on the report.  

the report should generate one the short calls are un-checked (per Support)

Hello 

The report seems to work perfectly fine.  There are a few ways to mark a patient with a short call. 

  1. Make the first available appointment that fits their needs
  2. Edit the Appointment - Click the box SHORT CALL
  3. Enter a note.  Example (Wants any Wednesday sooner)
  4. There will be a RED phone icon on the appointment, this states the appointment has been flagged as a short call. 

If a Patient Cancels, Drag the appointment into the short call Ticker (it is the dark green file cabinet on the far right).

 

Running The Report 

  • Click Reports 
  • Click Recall/Appointment 
  • Click Short Call List 
  • Print Preview (or Print)
  • This actually generates 2 reports (Short Call List no appointments, Short Call list from existing appointments)

Dear Softdentgirl. I tried exactly what you said. The report will generate, but no patients are listed. If I cancel the apt. and put patient in short tickler,and try to run, then the report hangs up.
