Scanned Document

We have scanned a patient document in. We are not able to view on any other work station except the one where it was attached. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Right click on the scanned document and look at properties.  Look at the acquisition path .... in order for any and all documents to be viewed network wide it has to be on the network path, not on a local path.  Those settings are set workstation wide in the video settings.  Once it's set, it should not be changed.  If you have just one or two that are instead on a local drive, it may be more worth your while to just delete those and scan them again once the video settings have been set correctly.

Doing the image transfer utility does work, and it works well.  It benefits the offices who have many, many images that need to be moved.

Hello,

Your scanned document is not viewable on any other machine because that saved document was not stored on the server after it was saved. That document, along with possible others, are saved in your local C: drive. An image move is required to resolve this, and no one can be in SoftDent for the duration of the image move. I would call SoftDent Support at 866-435-7473 x2 so that this can be scheduled.

Thanks,

Ben
