Scanning Documents

Jump to solution

I have used Siftdent for many years and I am glad you cab scan documents into Softdent.  The only problem is it does not read PDFs.  PDFs reset up to open in a separate program which does not work well withNEA.NEA only takes Jpeg files.

Here is the problem if I download an eOB from an insurance company, it is downloaded as a PDF.  I then have to print it out and then rescan to get in the right format.  It would be nice to have Softdent convert it and make the file compatible with NEA so we don't have to kill more trees and go through an extra step.

Just a thought.

You CAN pull a pdf into Softdent Document Manager.  Use the import icon (looks like a single blue mark & when you hoover on it it says - Import).  Then go to wherever you have the pdf saved > click on the pdf to import it.  Then click on "Save Capture". It looks odd & you would think you could not open .. .but you can! Right click on the pdf image icon & it will open!

I know you can pull in a PDF but for example, NEA only handles Jpeg format. If Softdent could convert the pdf to jpeg ten it could be used in NEA as an attachment
