Setting up next years schedule

Jump to solution

Hello Carestream Helpers!

I know there is information that I just can't seem to find... Could you all help please.  Where do I find information on setting up our schedule for next year?  My docs said there is a template somewhere ( with our lunch hour blocked out ) but they aren't sure how to do it, the old office manager took care of that.  I was hoping that my IT guy was aware, unfortunately he was not.

I know that all of you can help out.

Thanks!!

Hi Danyle
this answer is under the assumption that you have softdent V 14 or V 16
first you have to create your own "template" ( step1) or use this year's schedule to be copied  (skip to step 2)

1- create the template week or day
if your lunch time is the same everyday use these steps ( SoftDent: Blocking Time Slots  ) to block lunch time on your schedule for any day early january
if your lunch time is NOT the same everyday use same steps to block lunch time on your schedule for a full week early january

2- copy that template day\week to the rest of the year's schedule using these steps

1.   set the schedule to view one of the "template" days

2.  Select Scheduler > Setup Goals and Colors. The Month At A Glance (GOAL) window is displayed.

3.     select Copy Colors from the Options section of the Express bar or the Options menu. The Copy Colors for window is displayed.

4.    Select an option:

  • To copy the schedule for all operatories: Select All Ops.
  • To copy the schedule for one or more operatories: Select Op Range and type the numbers for the operatories you want to copy in the From and To fields. To copy one operatory at a time, type the same number in both fields.

5.    Select an option:

  • To copy the schedule for the selected calendar date: Select This Day from the From section.
  • To copy the schedule for the entire week: Select This Week from the From section.

6.    Select an option in the To section.

  • To copy any slot notes annotated on the selected date, select Copy Slot Notes.
  • To copy any blocked slots applied to the selected date, select Copy Blocked Slots.

9.    Click OK. A message asking you to confirm the color copy is displayed.

10.    Click Yes.

11.    Click Close.
