We have been having issues with Softdent going unresponsive. It happens first thing in the morning and then again later in the afternoon but also sporadically throughout the day when it's really bad.
I have verified that the backups only run at night. I have disabled antivirus including Windows Defender. Windows Search has also been disabled as well.
This issue is quite frustrating. I have watched the Task Manager on the server and nothing seems to spike. I also made sure that all Windows updates have been installed, all drivers and firmware are up to date as well.
It doesn't seem to matter what you are doing in Softdent either. It seems to happen randomly no matter if you're creating an appointment or checking someone out after an appointment.
We are on the latest version 19.1 and running on Windows Server 2016 with Windows 10 client workstations.
