Our office updated to the version 18 softdent the beginning of November. We also got the carestream sensors at the same time and are using them. We have noticed that the computers are a lot slower. Sometime we have to restart the computer because softdent is not responding a couple times a day. It will also freeze when trying to enter a patients chart we will use Ctrl 1 and or right click on the patient name then click patient chart. It is either super slow to open or that it won't open at all. WHY this is super frustrating. Anyone else having this issue or know what to do to fix the issue? We did have our network checked and that was up to date and all the computers are new in the last year.
Have your IT tech(s) check the NIC settings on each of the workstations to make sure the power management settings is unchecked for allow computer to turn off device to save power.
I just did an upgrade for a customer who was on V12.... yes ancient however it was fast!!
Now They are on v18 and it is slow. I installed the software with a Softdent Technician and it is on a VM within HyperV. Is that a supported install? He didn't say it wasn't.
