is there a way to rebuild the document index on a workstation? cannot view documents on our main computer and cannot figure out what the issue is.

Right click on any one of those images (even tho' it may say "image not located", look at properties, and then look at the path.  This will give you a hint on your next step.  If you can view images on every other workstation except this main one, then it may be more likely a network connection issue of that main computer.  Also, is it just documents?  Or is it all other images captured/acquired from other computers?

yes the document path is wrong it is pointing to an old server. even though we are logged into the new one. does not make sense. how do you correct the documents path?

That's unfortunately for you one of the "tips and tricks" of installing a new server - keeping the server name and paths consistent.

You will need to call Support - there is an Image Move Utility.

I recommend, if you have not already, contact support. There is a utility that can rebuild index within the software. If this is a computer rather then software issue you may need to reach out to your IT as I found solutions to be too broad.

we moved everything to a new server. but the documents were still being written to the old one. so we updated the system path for new images / copied over the folder, but how do we tell softdent to find the images in the new path?

I'd be extremely cautious about trying to over right any of the folders that house the documents.

You need the help of a level 2 + tech.  Don't try and fix yourself.

the names of the server paths are consistent. softdent saves / launches off the new server. all of the image files are present on the new server as well. but the path when you click on properties for all of the existing still points back to the old server.
