moving bitewing x-rays

We had an issue today of a hygienist taking bitewing x-rays in the wrong patient's chart.  I know how to copy and paste into the correct chart, or saving into a file and downloading into the correct chart.  But when I do that with bitewings they are not fully functional within the correct patient's chart.  You cannot highlight one of the bitewings and enlarge it for a closer look.

I found a topic for this back from 2017, but it does not address this issue.

What am I doing wrong?!?

These were steps I noted from a former training session.  Maybe this will help.....

- To move PA from one patient to another:
o Go into Imaging for the patient where the xrays are located.
o Select the List tab
1. Highlight the xrays OR the FMS that needs to be moved - can do shift and select the ones as a group, if they are in succession OR do Ctrl and select the ones needing to be moved. If you do the FMS, all the individuals come in too.
o Send them to the Folder Location as desktop (that's what we do) and keep the File Format as Carestream files - Large format
o Go to the patient where the xrays need to be and go into Imaging
o Select Import Image File under the File tab
o Select the xrays from Desktop
o Voila....they should come in nicely.
o When you are satisfied they are in the correct patient, return to the former patient.
o Select Delete under the File tab.
o Go back to List and select those images you no longer need in that patient.
o MAKE SURE YOU ONLY SELECT THE XRAYS YOU DON'T NEED AS ONCE DELETED, THEY CANNOT BE RETRIEVED....
