report not working - patient visit statistics

When I try to run the patient visit statistics report, no matter what parameters i put, i get the message "no patients visited during this period." I tried changing dates, provider codes, late properties, but no luck. we do check in and check out our patients. any idea why this isn't working or how it could be corrected? I need the data for HRSA reporting.. Running SoftDent V17

Be sure to use the CHANGE LOCATION when the patient has been seated in the op and again when the patient is dismissed from the op. This is in addition to using the CHECK IN and CHECK OUT.

By using the CHANGE LOCATION, this gives SoftDent a start time and an end time for the patient in the treatment room for their appointment. When you begin using CHANGE LOCATION you will see a differant color for the appointment on the book and you will see a timer.

Once you begin using this feature in addition to the check in and check out, then SoftDent will give you hte information needed in the Patient Vital Statistics report.

are you saying the report will NOT work without the change location feature? I need prior statistics through 2019 to report to the Dept of Human Services. If this was not done there is no way to calculate visits?

Linda is correct. If you change location to operatory - you need to change location to front desk.

"Make sure that the office is checking the appointment in, changing the location twice, and checking the patient out before attempting the following steps. More often than not, the proper check in, change location, check out process is not followed." This causes the report to have incorrect information.

Sounds like you know what you are doing....but humor me and recheck all steps with this job aid.

I am also attaching the Printing instructions.

Hopefully, we can find out what is causing the issue.
