Birthday Report by Provider and by Specific Month

Birthday Report by Provider and by Month
I need to print patient birthdays for February for one provider only.
How can I do that?

Existing Bday report does not allow you to specify a Provider.

User Selected Reporting does not allow you to omit birthday year

Re: Birthday Report by Provider and by Specific Month

i couldnt find a way to get that info directly from softdent

but i was able to do that by Exporting user selected report for all patients for provider X  printing their DOB  to Excel
then using some Excel tools like Filter , Sort and =Month(X)

if you feel comfortable using excel you can follow these steps to get that report

1-run patient user selected report ( user code NE i , Dentist\Provider EQ "the provider Id number " , print patient Birthday)
2- export this report to excel
will assume that Birthday is in column E  and that column F is empty
3- highlight cell F2 the first available column after birthday and type  =month(E2)

4- drag the bottom right corner of F2 cell to copy that equation
4- now use Filter option from Data tab on raw 1
5- using the drop down arrow on cell F1 unselect ( select all ) then select (2) only

I figured it out!

Bear with me... this is a little bit of a work around, but it works and it only takes a few minutes.  (5 or less!)

Step 1: Run a user selected reports for all patients for the specific doctor, don't forget to include the Birthday.  My selection screen looked like this:

Step 2: On printer selection screen, send results to Excel:

Step 3: In Excel, insert a blank column next to the DOB (Column E in my screenshot)

Step 4:

In the blank column, enter the following formula: =TEXT(F2,"MMDD")

When you hit enter it will put the month and date in column E, with no work required from you.

Step 5:

Drag to copy the formula to other cells:

(If you click in the lower right corner of the cell, it turns into a + sign.  Holding your left mouse button down and dragging will highlight all the E cells, and copy the correct formula all the way down, changing F2 to F3, F4, F3, etc.)

Step 6: Sort Column E from A to Z.  Expand the selection.

Your patients are now sorted by their birth month!  You can scroll down to the 02s to find February patients.

Hope this helps!

Haha , I was working with =text but I couldn’t use conditional formatting with that so I moved to =month

Wait a minute ....  here's an idea ....

In the user selected fields, the year can be irrelevant .. because you can use "greater than or equal to" ... and "less

than or equal to" .... (i'm pretty sure)

I'm not in front of Softdent at the moment, but try two options:

1.  02/01/1900 to 02/28/2017 or

2.  02/01/2017 to 02/28/1900

One of those sequences of age ranges should work.

You might miss that one patient born on leap day!!
