Medical Alert Revision

Our Head Assistant asked me to make "Diabetes" visible in the Medical Alert area yesterday. I realized that unless you go into a patient's medical history and update it by first unchecking and then re-checking the "yes" box next to "Diabetes" it will not show up. Is there a way (a utility perhaps?) to have that show up on all patients who already have the "yes" box next to "Diabetes" checked?

Re: Medical Alert Revision

Hello Sue,

At this time, going into the customer's Medical History will be a way for getting the result you are seeking.  I have listed some steps that may be helpful moving forward.

To Add a Medical Alert from the Patient's "Medical History"

1. Click List in the main menu bar.
2. Select Patient.
3. Locate and double-click the necessary patient.
4. Click the "Medical Alerts" drop-down arrow.
5. When the Medical History is displayed, click Update.

NOTE: After the Update button has been clicked clicked, the current date will show in the field that is labeled "Medical History recorded on".

6. Select the "Conditions" tab and select the necessary condition.

NOTE: Checking a red condition within the "Conditions" tab will display a "Medical Alert" on the patient's record. To make conditions set off the "Medical Alert" flag, click here.

7. Click OK.
8. Click Close.

Are these steps in a different version?  We are on 16.2.4 and I don't see a Medical Alerts drop down arrow??
